Natufactant – improves the absorption of energy from fats and oils (lipids) in feed through better emulsification and fat hydrolysis. Up to 1– 1.2 % (10-12kg/ton) of
fat and oils can be substituted from diet and maintain performance.

Energy is an important requirement for animals. To maximise performance, oils and fats (SBM oil, tallow, palm oil) are added to animal diets to balance energy requirements for optimal growth. Due to rising feed costs, pressure is growing to use ingredients that are cheaper, however these have a lower energy content. This can lead to an imbalanced feed energy content, causing lower feed efficiency. Lipids, in the form of oils and fats can be incorporated into diets to improve energy content of the feed. However, lipids are an expensive macro ingredient, 4 -5 times as expensive as cereal feedstock (corn, soybean) with reduced bioavailability. Especially at a young age. So for economical reasons their bioavailability needs to be maximized. Nutritional bio-surfactants like Natufactant can be used to improve lipid digestion.

Natufactant enables the improved breakdown of lipids to even smaller particles by exposing them to Lipase enzymes, resul@ng in greater bioavailability of energy from fats and oils.

Benefits of Natufactant

• Reduces the use of expensive oil Ingredients (e.g., tallow, SBM oil, palm oil,
sunflower oil, rice bran oil).
• Improve feed conversion
• Improve mortality
• Improve uniformity
• Reduce the effects of heat stress
